Role of the clinical neuropsychologist

To evaluate individuals with known and suspected brain disorders who have difficulties in memory, attention, language or other cognitive functions.

What are some disorders that I typically assess?
  • Alzheimer's disease and other dementias

  • Head trauma (AKA traumatic brain injury, concussion)
  • Attention deficit (hyperactivity) disorder (ADD, ADHD)
